Announcing Our 2017-2018 Annual Giving Campaign

Thank you to all the donors who contributed to our 2016-2017 Annual Giving campaign. Together, we raised more than $250,000. Due to the project’s large scale, fundraising for the project will continue, but we predict that our Childbirth Center will soon be redesigned to make it the best possible place to give birth in the region! Once the renovations are complete, we will be hosting an Open House to invite all to see the updated facilities firsthand. Until then, feel free to stop by the Hospital lobby to see our giving tree, filled with engraved leaves representing supporters like you who donated $500 or more to the campaign. I am now happy to announce the launch of the Annual Giving campaign for 2017-2018 – Enhancing the Patient Experience. The Development Office is seeking ideas for how to enhance the patient experience at Springfield Hospital and the community health centers of Springfield Medical Care Systems. In conjunction with the fresh ideas we receive, we are hoping that donors will support their ideas with a contribution. For example, thanks to a grant from the Susan Sebastian Foundation, the Hospital was able to purchase more than 40 works from local artists to place in patient rooms. The feedback we have received is that the art helps those recovering in their hospital beds to feel more cheerful and in turn, to speed their healing. Much better than looking at a blank wall! We hope that this campaign will generate ideas such as these, that we will be able to implement to ensure the patient experience is the best it can be. Watch your mail for the Annual Giving 2017-2018 appeal, and thank you in advance for considering supporting this project!
